The Bund is a famous boulevard within the city. It accompanies the Huangpu river and it is a major street such as Champs d’Elysées or 5th Avenue.
You can walk here at every day time and it will be full of people. The strip is about 1-2km long and you can see over to the Pudong are from here. Nanjing road is also just in reach. A good start to explore Shanghai.

So this is the bund, a long walking promenade where locals hang out at daytime and in the evening.
